About Interpay
Interpay builds the retail payment software that banks and merchants across Saudi Arabia depend on: POS and SoftPOS acceptance, e-commerce gateways, payment switching and merchant services. Our products handle cardholder data under SAMA regulation and PCI security standards, and they run around the clock.
The role
This is a deliberately combined role. You'll own what Interpay builds and why, based on customer needs, market demand and regulatory obligation, and do the business analysis that turns those decisions into specifications engineering can act on. The role also covers finance and credit products. You'll report directly to the CTO. Fluent Arabic is mandatory, as you'll work directly with Saudi banks, merchants and regulators.
What you'll do
Product management
- Product definition: define features from customer requirements, market demand, competitive positioning and regulatory obligation
- Roadmap: build and communicate the roadmap, balancing customer commitments, technical debt, compliance deadlines and strategy
- Prioritisation: own the backlog, and make and defend priority calls when demand exceeds capacity
- Voice of the customer: work directly with banks, merchants, payment service providers and sales to understand needs in the Saudi market
- Market analysis: track competitors, market trends and emerging payment technologies
- Lifecycle: manage features from concept to launch, iteration and retirement, with clear success measures
- Go-to-market: support positioning, collateral, pricing input, release communications and customer enablement
Business analysis
- Elicit and document requirements with business users, project managers and development teams
- Analyse processes and workflows, and recommend practical improvements
- Write functional specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria
- Run gap analyses, feasibility studies and impact assessments
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews, and give clear status updates
- Produce process models, data flows and wireframes that make requirements concrete
Payments domain
- Know Interpay's POS, SoftPOS, e-commerce gateway and switching products in depth
- Turn Visa, Mastercard and mada mandates into product requirements and delivery plans
- Interpret SAMA requirements, including data residency obligations
- Build PCI DSS and PCI Secure SLC implications into feature design from the start
- Specify product behaviour across authorisation, reversal, settlement, reconciliation and disputes
Finance and credit
- Support lending, instalment and buy-now-pay-later propositions
- Apply credit assessment, scoring and rating concepts to merchant and consumer features
- Contribute to merchant onboarding, underwriting, KYC and AML requirements
- Use interchange, merchant discount rate, settlement cycles and fee structures to shape product economics
- Partner with finance and risk so product decisions are commercially sound and well controlled
Delivery
- Stay with the development teams through delivery to resolve questions
- Take part in backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives
- Define test scenarios and acceptance criteria with QA, and take part in UAT
- Support training, release notes and user documentation so new features are adopted
